Hello World!
Sunday April 12th, 2009
So, another day in grey paradise. It’s eerily beautiful here. Quiet ghostly London with a few tourists adding splashes of color to the bleak streets, along with the myriad of tulips in Regents Park. I am having a few blissful moments on my own. Richard has gone off to look at the ‘seat of power’ in London (I think he means Parliament etc.) whilst I contemplate silence, meaningless meandering and taking pictures of beautiful and/or eerie flowers with my new macro lens…oooh yummy. Solitude and my camera. As good as fish and chips, or toast and butter. You can see what kind of diet I like…I am chagrined to say that my waistline has expanded in direct opposition to the economys deflation. A sort of symbiotic dance of balance. What a good Libra I am:)…

Hello world!
Friday April 10th, 2009.
Wow. Well, we arrived in England yesterday and it’s grey! Richard and I have already had an argument which I suppose isn’t surprising since we both are exhausted. My uncle Freddy is away and has lent us his fantastic flat in the West End, near Regent’s Park. And it’s Easter w/e so London is remarkably quiet. Quite nice actually. It’s like it’s our own…just here for us to enjoy as we like. No pesky tourists to deal with (apart from ourselves that is). Also, the tantalizing sonic landscape, all these different languages floating around in our atmosphere, cushioning our explorations. It’s a stimulating experience, London. And fascinating. I love it. So many questions. Things to see. Again, for the first time.
It’s so good to be back.
I left about 20 years ago – something of a mixture of a ‘huff’ and an ‘urge’ to move forward into the unknown. The Fool’s card of the Tarot rather than the Tower. And it’s so nice to be writing. That’s something I want to focus on now I’m here.
I can’t wait to keep writing. But for now, we’re off to Covent Garden on a red bus:)
